About Amina

I came from the money side. Then I went into the classroom.

I started in investment banking, equity research and M&A. In that world you do not get to skim. You read the whole filing, the notes, the footnotes, the thing everyone else skipped, because the answer is usually in there and someone will ask you to defend it.

Then I became a professor. I have taught finance, accounting and statistics at seven Canadian colleges and universities. Teaching forces a different discipline. If a room of adults cannot follow you, the problem is not the room. It is the explanation.

Global Mastery Partners is where those two disciplines meet.

The Belief

Public institutions are slow because they don’t understand their own documents. Not because the people are careless. Because the documents are outdated, written in pieces by different departments in different years, scattered across the building, and too complicated for the people expected to run on them.

The Work

I collect them. I read them together. I find where they contradict each other. I bring them current. And I rewrite them so they are simple enough to run without me.

Connected. Current. Simple. That is what I leave behind.

Connected

Every document that matters, read together. The plan next to the budget next to the last review. Contradictions found in an afternoon.

Current

Brought up to date, so what the institution says it does and what it actually does are the same thing.

Simple

Rewritten so the people who run on these documents can understand them without calling a consultant.

Both Sides of the Table

Most advisors have one background: the money side or the education side. This work needs both. The analyst finds what the documents hide. The teacher makes it simple enough to use.

Media & Recognition

On the record

Earlier in my career I gave commentary on diversity in finance. My work today is public institutions and their documents.
